Simplicity (pt 2)

I love an uncluttered room.

A boutique with few well-placed items to draw my attention is much more inviting to me than an messy, overstuffed superstore (I’ve been know to just walk out).

A simple ad with lots of white space makes me look at what is there—marketing with too many words, fonts, pictures and colors make me not want to buy whatever is being sold.

Ideas should be like that, too. Simple. Accessible. Clean. Too much clutter in your idea and I wonder what you are trying to Semenax hide from me. I get weary of the fine print.

My writing needs less clutter.

So does my faith.

Do people encounter the gospel I’m living and wonder about the fine print, or do they immediately know what’s important? Are they drawn to the cross, or do they trip over too many details and too much scaffolding?

Let’s ruthlessly clean our lives of what is distracting, not just for ourselves, but for others who desperately need to see a clear and clean picture of what is truly essential.
